Independent QA & UX audits

Annoyingly thorough QA.

I’m Kyle at Turbopeace. I test games and apps across mobile, PC and web. I find the bugs, awkward edges and questionable decisions your users will find later. Then I give you a clear, useful way to fix them.

UX

The primary action falls below the fold on smaller phones.

Edge case

Rapid account switching leaves the previous player’s state visible.

A fresh pair of eyes. Very good instincts.

This is not a spreadsheet of obvious checks. I explore the product as a player, a customer and a tester. I follow the strange paths real people take and explain what matters when I get there.

01 / FIND

The bugs teams stop seeing

Functional failures, state problems, save data issues, device behaviour and edge cases that appear outside the happy path.

02 / FEEL

The friction users can’t name

Confusing onboarding, awkward controls, unclear feedback and interactions that do not suit the device or audience.

03 / FIX

Feedback your team can use

Prioritised findings, reliable reproduction steps and practical recommendations. No dramatic list of problems dropped at your feet.

Choose how thoroughly you’d like me to break it.

Every engagement is scoped before work begins. These starting points keep the first conversation simple while leaving room for the actual size and state of your build.

Kyle is a pathological breaker of things. If you give him something, he will destroy it. Eventually you will fear your product falling into his hands for fear of the chaos that may ensue. If there are any fragile moving pieces in your project, he will hone in on them before you're aware they even exist. Working with Kyle for 4 years, I learned to trust his judgement, even in areas he has absolutely no right to understand. He has a real knack for finding a problem, and immediately presenting an appropriate solution. He's a multi-disciplined visionary, and I can't recommend the crazy bastard enough.

Small process. Useful output.

I can work from a store build, test build or private distribution link. You tell me what keeps you awake; I also look for the things that currently don’t.

STEP 01

Brief the build

Share the product, platforms, audience, current concerns and anything that is intentionally unfinished.

STEP 02

I go looking

I test deliberately, explore freely and capture enough evidence for your team to reproduce every important finding.

STEP 03

You get clarity

Receive a prioritised report that separates release risks, bugs and UX opportunities, with a call where useful.
